Prajakta is a registered Physiotherapist with the college of Physiotherapy Alberta. She completed her Bachelor’s of Physiotherapy from India in 2011. Her keen interest in sports and manual therapy led her to New Zealand, where she completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy endorsed in Sports Therapy in 2014. She utilizes manual therapy like soft tissue/ joint mobilizations and spinal manipulations, exercise prescription, functional dry needling and taping techniques in her practice.
She believes in educating all her patients on their conditions when she treats them, in order for them to have active participation in their treatment plan and recover faster.
Prajakta is fluent in English, Marathi and Hindi.
PERSONAL INTEREST/ SPORTS BACKGROUND:
In her spare time, Prajakta loves to spend time with her family and friends. She loves to dance and is trained and certified in "Bharatnatyam", which is an Indian classical dance form. She also enjoys listening to music, crafts and travel.
